Every year osteoporosis day fall in the month of 20th October. Such events are very important to bring awareness into the society, for this a long back sort of campaign started for raising global awareness throughout the globe. Which is going to held across 90 countries in the administration of IOF (International osteoporosis foundation).

Word Osteoporosis derived from the Greek word “osteon” means bones and “poros” meaning pore/passage. Osteoporosis also called a silent disease. Osteoporosis leads to easily bone break in human in particular area of the body like- spine, hip bone, and wrist.

The World osteoporosis day initiated by the European Commission and UK national osteoporosis society in the year of 1996-October 20th.

Commence of a yearlong campaign to hoist awareness related to the osteoporosis disease. From 1997 the awareness of world osteoporosis day has been organized by IOF.

Every year (WOD) commence with a new specific theme 2018 theme is- “Love Your Bones!”

  1. Below my neck that was numb. Then later I started having pains in my shoulders that ran down my arms. Sleeping was terrible because I like to sleep on my side but it would wake me up and I could barely put my arms back down. X-ray showed degeneration in the discs of my neck.
